Cultivating Kindness for a Better Tomorrow
We See You is committed to providing support to those who struggle with homelessness, substance abuse and mental health issues. We realize that sometimes these three traumas may overlap, one causing the next. While this may or may not be the case for each individual, we found it hard to only focus our help in one area. Our founding board members have been personally touched by these issues and hope to break the cycle, helping individuals find a path forward. Knowing there is strength in numbers, we also offer our We See You Scholarship Program. The goal being to empower our youth to seek education first and then a career supporting those in need.

Warmer Winters
This is where the idea all started over a decade ago. We wanted to help those experiencing homelessness stay warmer by providing hats and mittens in the winter. Each year it has slowly grown as the family got more involved. Over the years we added coats, sweatpants, long johns, socks and underwear. Donations through We See You will allow this campaign to grow and reach more people experiencing homelessness.

Scholarship Program
Empowering our youth and the next generation to help those in need is how We See You will ensure help for decades to come. Our families reach can only go so far but as we help more people start careers in mental health and addiction support services we can widen our reach. Paying it forward again, and again until our impact is greater than we could have ever imagined.
Our first scholarship program is through East Lyme Scholarship Association and is awarded to a graduating senior planning a field of study in mental health or addiction services. With your support we can provide larger scholarships and increase the quantity offered each year.

We See You – Mobile Charity
When funds allow, we plan to take Warmer Winters to the next level converting a box truck into a mobile clothing boutique for those experiencing homelessness. We want to provide a moment of dignity where they can shop for free and choose clothing that fits their style, rather than simply being handed something. This moment of compassion will lift up individuals, give them more self esteem and pride. You never know what moment will change someone’s path forever.
The mobile boutique will also have handouts available for local resources in the area: job centers, counseling, shelters, food banks, etc. If you or anyone you know has a used small box truck they would like to donate please contact us.

Our Team
This section provides a brief overview of the talented professionals on our team.

Tommy
Founder, President & Treasurer
In my younger years I struggled with mental health issues leaning on alcohol and drugs for an escape. That addiction led to a short period of homelessness at my bottom. This is a crisis, it knows no boundaries and has touched so many families. Having been able to help myself recover, I am starting We See You to help others along their path.

Jen
Vice President
Seeing the effect these issues have on families and those around me motivated me to help start We See You. More people than we realize are affected by these issues and it’s important for me to help in any way I can.

Sarah Brooke Secretary
We See You is important for me personally to ensure other individuals have access to the same resources I needed to care for my own mental health.

Peyton
Board Member
& Director of Social Media
At one point or another, we all go through a hardship. I want to grow this organization to be there for others in their time of need, just like people were there when I needed them most.

Carter
Board Member
& Director of Digital Content
I am looking forward to growing We See You in order to help those who were not given the same opportunities as others. My goal is to help level the playing field and let them know that they matter.
